“Armed” and Ready for your Big Day!
No matter what kind of style wedding dress you choose, chances are it will put your upper body on display. Here at Rock the Aisle Bridal, we want to help you build your body confidence by showing you some of the most effective exercises to get the “perfectly” toned arms for your wedding.
Each exercise should consist of 12 repetitions for three sets:
1. The Bent over Row – Known to be one of the best exercises to tone your back and shoulders. Stand with legs shoulder width apart, dumbbells in each hand and face palms toward your body. Bend over about 45 degrees, keeping your back straight. Engage your core and lift the weights to the bottom of your rib cage. Stay bent over until all repetitions are complete.
2. Shoulder Press– The dumbbells should be held at shoulder height with your palms facing out. Push the dumbbells over your head until your arms are almost completely straight. Then, slowly bring your dumbbells back to the starting position. Keep abs and lower back tight!
3. Tricep Kickback– Hold a dumbbell in each hand, bend your knees and bend from the hip so your torso is parallel with the floor. Bring your shoulders back and down away from your ears. Move your elbows up as high as you can, while leaving the dumbbell hanging by your ribcage. Slowly extend your arms until they are straight behind you, pause for a second, then lower back to starting position.
